Miguel Cabrera is looking to bounce back from one of his worst seasons in the Big Leagues of his career and he has looked for help this off-season, which led him to a new trainer.
David Alexander, the owner of DBC Fitness in Miami, has trained several stars of various sports, including Dwayne Wade, Antonio Brown and perhaps the most important LeBron James.
Cabrera started his training at a weight of 256 pounds at the beginning of the month, and according to his trainer, he is already 11 pounds down in weight.
Here is a post of Miggy at the beginning of the month:
And here he is after a couple of weeks:
According to the Detroit Free Press, Detroit Tigers General Manager, Al Avila, Cabrera's workout is designed for core strength and his back muscles using flexibility designed exercises.
Here is Miggy training:
Everything has a purpose when you train with me. Working on some lite reaction and sensory drills with Miggy at the end of his performance day. I like to add stuff like this at the end when the athletes body and mind are fatigued. That is when mistakes happen so therefore we get him use to making good decisions when his body is tired. Nothing too advanced here but simply laying the foundation to how we will build off this over the next few months. #WhereDoYouTrain **************************** •ATHLETE: @miggy24 •TEAM: @tigers •FACILITY: @dbcfit •TOOL: @fitlighttraining •EQUIPMENT: @keiserfitness
