Andrew Cashner signs with the Orioles

The Orioles have had a busy offseason

According to various sources, the starting pitcher Andrew Cashner has signed with the Baltimore Orioles, to a reported deal of $16 million for 2 years.

The 31-year old played for the Texas Rangers last year, as he had a 11-11 record with a 3.40 ERA and 86 K's, over166 2/3 IP.


According to Jon Heyman of FanRagSports, Cashner has a third year option worth $10 M if he reaches 360 IP during the 2 year-long original contract. The deal also has $5 M in incentives in each year of the deal, according to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation.


Cashner made his MLB debut with the Cubs in 2010, and has also played for the Padres, Marlins and Rangers, making the Orioles his fitfth team in the Majors.


He holds a lifetime record of 42-64 across 7 seasons, with a 3.80 ERA and 694 K's throughout his career.
