Reunions are trending in this MLB offseason; we have seen how familiar faces are returning to places that they once called home, like Ichiro, Mike Moustakas, Chase Utley and Lorenzo Cain. Now, Carlos González has decided to come back with the Rockies again this season.
According to numerous sources, including Jon Heyman, Jon Morosi, and Mark Feindsand, CarGo and Colorado agreed to a one-year-long deal, with the details of the contract have not been revealed yet.
It is reported that the Venezuelan rejected a four-year-long extension that the Rockies offered him before last season. Gonzalez has spent the majority of his career in Colorado, where he has established himself as one of the best in the whole MLB.
Although last season wasn't his best since he arrived at the Majors, he still had some decent numbers, batting for .262, with 14 home runs and 57 runs batted in.
