Giants take lead over Cardinals for Giancarlo Stanton

Talks between Miami and San Francisco are heating up

Giancarlo Stanton.

Giancarlo Stanton.

Giancarlo Stanton's situations this off-season seems to be finally taking shape.

According to information from Mark Feinsand of, the Giants would be having increasingly "deeper conversations" with the Marlins in regards to NL MVP and MLB Homer Run King.

This puts the Giants as the big favorites according to Feinsand, who does not rule out the Cardinals who keep trying to go for Stanton.

Giants would be willing to hand Joe Panik, pitching prospect Tyler Beede and outfielder Chris Shaw but they would also be asking for the arrival of Dee Gordon, according to sources.

It is also thought that the Cardinals delivered their own offer for the outfielder. Stanton has a No-Trade-Clause in his contract and according to people close to the slugger San Luis would be among the teams that he does not want to go to.

The Marlins owe a total of $ 295 million to their star for the next 10 years, who won the National League Most Valuable Player award in 2017.
