The Red Sox are back in negotiations with the White Sox.
According to information from Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Boston organization would be one of the teams that are in active talks with the White Sox for slugging first basemen José Abreu.

The Red Sox are in need of home runs and also have the need for a first-basemen, that until now would be for Hanley Ramírez a choice they are not completely comfortable with.
The Chicago team made a major trade last winter with Boston, in the Chris Sale swap, so they have a very clear idea of the players that they can look for in a possible trade.
White Sox have shown interest in center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr since they were in negotiations for Sale, and this year they could finally get him in a straight swap or Bradley and something more from Boston.
Heyman adds that the Red Sox were one of the finalist teams that were looking for Abreu's signature when he first arrived from Cuba.
The Cuban is under control for the next two seasons and is projected to earn a total of $ 17.9 million in 2018 through salary arbitration.
