According to information from Jon Morosi of MLB.com, the San Diego Padres have been very active in the negotiations for J.T. Realmuto during these last days, so now they are the main team candidate to take the receiver.
Morosi also mentioned, in case both the Padres and the Marlins reach an agreement, the Friars would be sending the pitcher Austin Hedges to Miami as part of the transaction by the quoted catcher.
