Giancarlo Stanton calls Marlins an "unprofessional circus" in farewell post

The outfielder was traded to the New York Yankees over the weekend and was made official on Monday

It appears that Giancarlo Stanton is not at all happy with the Miami Marlins organization after being traded to the New York Yankees on Monday for Starlin Castro and two prospects.

A few hours after it was made official that the Yankees had acquired the slugger, Stanton took to Instagram to say goodbye to the fans that embraced him since 2010.

But, in the post, he also tears into the organization he called home in that time, the Marlins.

Calling the Marlins "unprofessional" and a "circus" at times while with the team from Miami.

He also called himself YANKEE for the first time and said he plans to keep things "lit" in NYC.

Here is the full text of the post:

Thank you to the Marlins Organization & the amazing city of Miami! The city that adopted me at 17 with open arms. I’ve loved this place over the years and it will always be special to me.
I appreciate All my teammates & coaching Staff that battled day in and day out
I feel for u fans, you’ve stuck with me as we’ve shared some roller coaster years.
I’ve always tried to be as professional as possible during the unprofessional , circus times there!
Regardless of the Ups&downs, I’ve grown n learned a lot as a Person/Player. So for that I give thanks, I hope there are better days in Miami . The city & the people are too great not to be!
Stay positive & much love ! ————————————— As for NEW YORK CITY !!! I am officially a YANKEE
I can’t wait to spark this new chapter in my life, & keeping it Lit

And the Instagram post itself:

Stanton has seen it all in his time with the Marlins, from signing big-ticket stars, to trading them at the first sign of trouble, to a new stadium, to a new look, and now to mishandling the trade of an MVP.

No wonder he called it a circus.

The Marlins new ownership lead by President of Baseball Operations Derek Jeter, traded Stanton for "pennies on the dollar" after going ahead and negotiating with teams Stanton didn't want to go to instead of starting a process with a pre-approved list.

Here is the full trade:

Marlins trade Giancarlo Stanton to Yankees for "pennies on the dollar"

The New York Yankees are about to pull off the biggest cheapest trade of the last decade or maybe ever in the history of Major League Baseball, as they are set to acquire Giancarlo Stanton in a deal with the Miami Marlins.
