According Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the St. Louis Cardinals agreed deal with free agent Bud Norris, with the details of the contract not being revealed yet and pending for a physical.
The Cards' bullpen finished 4th in the National League in terms of ERA (4.21) but still as one of their weak points, hoping that the addition of the 32 year-old helps to solve his problems.
The right-handed was a starting pitcher for the majority of his career until last season, when he played a major role in the Angels' bullpen, spending some time as the team's closer, recording 19 saves. He enjoyed a nice first half of the season, until he began to suffer problems with his right knee and was placed in the DL twice. Still, he had 4.21 ERA and 74 K's over 62 IP.
