This winter free agency has only a few big name starters on it, with Yu Darvish, Lance Lynn and Jake Arrieta.
Right behind them is exRays starter Alex Cobb, who with a "lower profile" has become a more interesting piece for a lot of teams this off-season in the Big Leagues
According to information from Peter Gammons for GammonsDaily.com, he reported that the baseball industry has the Yankees and the Cubs as the "favorites" to sign Cobb.
Although, it is said that the "Cubbies" have a slight lead over the "Bombers", since Cobb has already mentioned that he is willing to reunite with his ex-manager Joe Maddon.
The Baltimore Orioles, Texas Rangers, and the Minnesota Twins are other teams that have been linked to Cobb this winter.
After six seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays, Cobb left a lifetime record of 48-35 with a 3.50 ERA in a total of 115 starts.
