The Oakland A's are looking to put together a much more competitive team in 2018 and are looking for upgrades via trades this winter.

After finishing in last place in the AL West, the Oakland team seems willing to put together a more capable team next season in search of leaving the bottom spot in the division.

According to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle, the team would be interested in trading for the White Sox outfielder, Avisaíl García.

The team opened a space in the line up with the change they made with the Mariners sending Ryon Healy for two prospects, which vacated a space in the designated hitter position.

Khris Davis, who hit 43 home runs last season, now appears as the main candidate to take the position of DH for the A's, but that would leave left field unattended.

Garcia would fit very well in Oakland's outfield and with the White Sox in full rebuilding mode, it's the perfect time to steal away a piece that hit for .333 last year for the AL Central team.
