With the Spring Training just three days aways, and with the free agents market totally freezed, some reporters just got bored of waiting for the big deal to happen and started to make things of his own to fight lack of action on the market.
Grant McAuley is one of them. The Atlanta Braves' reporter came up with the idea of selecting the best free agentes available in the market and make a super team. And the result is pretty interesting.
McAuley chose Joe Girardi as the manager of this All-Free Agent team, with the rotation looking like this: Jake Arrieta, Alex Cobb, Lance Lynn, Andrew Cashner and Jaime García.
The line-up will be formed by Jonathan Lucroy as the catcher, with Eric Hosmer, Neil Walker, J.J. Hardy and Mike Moustakas as the infielders.
In the ouftield would be J.D. Martínez, Jon Jay and Carlos González. As designated hitter, José Bautista is the chosen one.
Finally, the bullpen would be conformed by Greg Holland, Tony Watson, Matt Belisle, Joaquin Benoit, Peter Moyland, Koji Uehara, Kevin Siegrist and Fernando Abad.
With the Spring Training just ahead of us, it is pretty unlikely that any big move would be made in the upcoming days. With the likes of Bautista, Arrieta, Hosmer and Moustakas, is just crazy to think about.
