The Jose Bautista saga has yet another episode and now, rumor has it that an unexpected team is now after the sign of Jose Bautista. And this could be a huge signing if the rumors are true.
According to a Mexican reporter, the World Series Champions, the Houston Astros, were in pursuit for Jose Bautista and were close to signing a deal. But the rumor quickly began to spread on the U.S.

This Friday MLB.com's reporter, Brian McTaggart, rejected these rumors as he explained that there was no such deal, but he didn't offer some further information, or whether negotiations were taking place or at least if there was an interest from the Astros.
Even though, the idea of the Champions acquiring Bautista is kind of strange, as the Astros don't have the necessity of bringing a player like him, having plenty of options on the outfield and for the designated hitter spot like Evan Gattis.
In previous weeks, it was reported that Bautista was considering retirement due to the lack of good offers for him, but his agent came and said that these rumors were not true at all.
