2017 has been rough for the Chicago Cubs and the National League Championship Series has been the culmination of everything "not going their way" during this playoffs, unlike in 2016.

The Cubs offense has been historically bad against the Dodgers in this NLCS, so much so that the team from Los Angeles has lost all respect for the bats in Chicago and on Tuesday they showed it.

With the Dodgers up 3-1 in the top of the 6th and the bases loaded, Yu Darvish was the next batter for the Dodgers. Most thought he would be pinch hit for, he had already covered five frames and Los Ángeles has one of the best bullpens in the Big Leagues.

Suprise, suprise, the Dodgers let Darvish hit.

Most writters and analyst started speaking out on social media, most couldn't believe that Dave Roberts was letting the Japanese player hit.

What most didn't catch is Roberts train of thought or at least what it looked like.

Roberts was comfortable with a two-run lead, that's how little he thinks of the Cubs offense right now. They can't score two runs.

In the end, Darvish was walked on four straight pitches and the Dodgers scored their fourth run in the game.

The next batter, Chris Taylor, struck out and that was it, but the statement Roberts made to the Cubs.was evident.

The Dodgers ended up winning the game by the score of 6-1 and yes they did not score, so Roberts was right.

Roberts ended up looking like a genius and his bullpen is set up to annihilate de Cubs in four games.
