The Houston Astros have a tough decision in front of them because of MLB's Rule 5 Draft.

On Monday afternoon all 40-man-rosters have to be defined by MLB teams and with them the players who are protected from the Rule 5 Draft and can not be taken by another organization.

According to Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle, the World Series champion team faces a complicated situation with one of their top prospects, Ramon Laureano.

A right fielder, Laureano a 23-year-old Dominican prospect had a great year in 2016 as he batted for .319 with 15 dingers and 73 RBIs between Single A and Doble A, but in 2017 he regresed by hitting for only .227 with 11 homers and 55 runs knocked in.

The organization would have determined to protect the Cuban prospect Cionel Pérez and other options such as Jon Kemmer and Dean Detz affecting Laureano's possibilities of staying with the Stros.

The Dominican is still considered one of Houston's best prospects and is ranked #13 by MLB pipeline.
