This is one of those stories that surpass baseball itself. The doctors say that this is truly a miracle after how bad Danny Farquhar's situation was; but after some tough weeks, the White Sox pitcher is cleared to return to baseball activity.
Farquhar himself talked to the TV morning show "Good Morning America" this Friday, and said that the doctors are so impressed by the progress made by him:
I had a few doctors call me a miracle and (tell me) how lucky I am to be as functional as I am
The pitcher suffered an aneurysm during a White Sox game on April 20th. Ultimately, this emergency threatened Farquhar's life and he remained in the intensive care unit for several days. However, he recovered from the incident successfully and he is now cleared to begin his baseball rehabilitation.
The White Sox have stated that Farquhar is done for the season, and will not pitch again during the year, but they're expecting him to make a comeback for the 2019 season.
