The Boston Red Sox have received great news regarding their pitching staff, as they have activated the Venezuelan pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez from the disabled list, as he will start the last game of the series against the Rays at Fenway Park.
Rodríguez underwent surgery to repair an injury in his right knee last December. Because of this, he needed more time in order to be fully fit ahead of the new season, as he did extended Spring Training.
The Venezuelan has been making a lot of progress, and the Red Sox consider that the pitcher is ready to make his first appearance in the 2018 MLB season.
Rodriguez' return probably means that Chris Sale will begin the series against the Yankees at Fenway Park on Thursday. The probable pitcher that will be cut off from the starting rotation is Hector Velázquez.
