Even though Giancarlo Stanton felt kind of comfortable in Miami, there was something that always bothered and upset him about the organization and the Marlins' stadium.
According to an interview with Ben Reiter of Sports Illustrated, the MVP really hated the sculpture that is on the center field of Marlins Park, and hopes that it can be removed soon from the stadium:
I can't stand that sculpture. I never liked it. I hope (Derek) Jeter takes it down. He said he wants to. I hope he does. All it does is suggest that this place is a circus, and we're the main attraction
The sculpture's official name is "Homer", and informally is called "Marlinator" and it cost around $2.5 million and it's property of the county of Miami, and it the Marlins want to remove it, the city would have to grant permission.
