There was much talk about during the Spring Training regarding on how Giancarlo Stanton will be managing the pressure of being a Yankee, as he had been on a non-contender team like the Miami Marlins and with no pressure at all.
But it looks like Stanton is enjoying it so far, even though it's only the Opening Day of the season, as he slammed his first home run of the campaign on his first at-bat as a Yankee against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre.
J.A. Happ suffered Stanton's power, as the MVP racked a two-run homer for all over the right field to give the Yankees the lead at that time for 2-0 against the Canadians.
