There is anything that Ichiro can't do?

Just a couple of weeks after announcing that the Japanese legend Ichiro will not be playing anymore this season and that he will be a fitting into the special assistant role, the legend proves that there are no limits for him.

During the next two Mariners' games, Ichiro will be serving as the team's bench coach. According to team sources, manager Scott Servais will be attending to his daughter's graduation, meaning that bench coach Manny Acta will be serving as the manager during this time, and Ichiro will fit Acta's regular role.

Ichiro spoke with the Japanese portal Kyodo News about this new adventure in his illustrious career, and says that he's not really sure about his duties as a bench coach:

I was only able to watch (the games) on TV. The view is different from the dugout. I have no idea (what I'll be doing). I might make out the lineup card, but other than that, I don't know.

Although Ichiro will not play this season anymore, there's still hope that he can be able to feature in the Mariners' 2019 season opener in Japan against the Athletics.
