When the Atlanta Braves signed the veteran slugger José Bautista earlier this season, few people expected that the former Blue Jay would make it into the Major League's roster due to his awful performance last season.
However, the Dominican once again proved that he's ready to play at the highest level as the veteran showed everybody that the minor leagues are not for him. According to MLB.com's Mark Bowman, the Atlanta Braves are ready to promote Bautista to the Major Leagues and he could be making his debut against the San Francisco Giants.
Jose Bautista is expected to join the Braves' lineup tonight. Bautista went 6-for-15 with a double and a homer over the past four games with Gwinnett.— Mark Bowman (@mlbbowman) 4 de mayo de 2018
Bowman's information says that Bautista will make his debut as soon as this Friday after the slugger played 10 games at Triple-A level, batting for .256 with a home run and 5 runs batted in, and he has made a hit in 7 of his last 8 games.
Jose Bautista had two more hits for #Braves AAA @GoStripers Wednesday. He's now batting .250 in 10G with Gwinnett, has hit safely in 7-of-his-last-8 and is hitting .300 (9-for-30) with 1 HR, 5 RBI, 6R, 1 SB, 6BB & 6K over that stretch. He's committed 2 errors in 30 chances at 3B.— Grant McAuley (@grantmcauley) 2 de mayo de 2018
