There has been a lot of talk in recent days about foreign substances used by pitchers on the balls to get an advantage over the batters after Indians' pitcher Trevor Bauer spoke about it earlier this week.
Bauer accused Astros' pitchers of using these substances to increase their performances and obtain an unfair advantage over the other teams, which according to him, explained the good shape and the crazy amount of strikeouts that the likes of Verlander, Cole and Charlie Morton.
However, on Thursday, Astros' pitcher, Lance McCullers Jr. was spotted wearing a strange substance on his cleats, which quickly sparked doubts about the nature of the thing that was on his shoes.
Many Twitter users accused McCullers of cheating, due to the nature of the substance on his cleats, which looked like kind of sticky and brownish. However, McCullers quickly took the matter on his hands and cleared off the doubts about it with a Twitter post.
