Just a day after Jeff Samardzija was ruled out from the Opening Day by the San Francisco Giants due to a shoulder injury, the Giants now has the worst news possible looking forward the next season, as Madison Bumgarner left this Friday game against the Dodgers, as he was hit by a comebacker in his throwing hand.
At this point, it is unknown if there was an injury or he just exit the game due to precaution, but in case of an injury, it would be the worst possible scenario for the Giants, with only a few days away from the start of the regular season.
Bumgarner out of game, but couple of good signs: he didn’t shake his hand like he got hit on his fingers and replay looks like he says, “I got hit on the palm”. Not fun, but not nearly as bad as getting hit on the fingers.— Amy Gutierrez (@AmyGGiants) 23 de marzo de 2018
Bumgarner is expected to make his 5th Opening Day start of his career at Dodger Stadium, but these plans can abruptly change if the pitcher's injury is serious.
The 2014 World Series MVP had a difficult 2017, as he was injured for the most part of it and was limited to only 111 IP, after tossing 200 innings for 6 straight seasons before last year campaign.
