The Baltimore Orioles seem to be ahead in what are the negotiations before a possible trade operation for Manny Machado. The Baltimore team scouts are already looking at the minor league systems in search of prospects, and they seem to be doing that with a greater focus on the pieces of the Los Angeles Dodgers' farm system.
According to USA Today's Bob Nightengale, despite the fact that the Dodgers are being driven without urgency to make a change by giving the initiative to Orioles, with their scouts following Los Angeles prospects, negotiations seem to be progressing.
Los Angeles has always seemed like the perfect destination for Manny Machado since the injury of Corey Seager that was left out for the rest of the season.
It looks like the Dodgers are not willing to let go the opportunity to get a player who can tip the balance in the postseason and Nightengale adds that three other teams seem to stay in the fight for Machado who are the Arizona Diamondbacks, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Machado is having a great season hitting .301 with 19 home runs and 55 RBIs.
