The Cleveland Indians finally got their man, as they were looking for improve their options of the fields, they agreed on a deal with the veteran Melky Cabrera in a minor leagues contract.
MLB.com's Jon Morosi reported the deal is still pending for a physical and the Dominican player will not be announced officially until all the examinations are done.
Also, according to Paul Hoynes of Cleveland.com, the team is planning to place Cabrera on extended Spring Training for at least a week, and then move him to Triple-A level.
Last season, Melky Cabrera played for the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals and batted for .285 with 17 home runs and 85 runs batted in. Also, the Dominican was named to the All-Star Game in 2012 and won the World Series in 2009 with the New York Yankees.
