The New York Yankees continue to see all the options available in the trade market to strengthen their starting rotation. So far, several names are being mentioned around, but the Yankees' organization puts Patrick Corbin in a special section.
According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the team sees the left-handed pitcher of the Arizona Diamondbacks as the piece that would take their starting rotation to the next level and place them amongst the league's best.
The problem for the Yankees is that the D-Backs are in a tight fight for the top of their division and, and right now it is difficult to relinquish Corbin while they have postseason possibilities. Heyman explains that despite that situation, the Yankees will keep following closely the performances of Corbin.
The Yankees also see as a great opportunity to get Corbin when he becomes a free agent at the end of this current season and look to sign it for the long term.
