The Los Angeles Angels will have to make a complicated decision over Shohei Ohtani's future as a pitcher, as he had to quit another start due to some complications with blisters.

According to's Jon Morosi, the Japanese will lose at least one start and probably he will have to visit the disabled list in the short term.

However, the main issue with this issue is that by placing him on the disabled list, he will be deactivated also as a designated hitter.

This situation can go two ways: It will surely help Ohtani to heal sooner, as he won't have the extra work rate for batting, but it could also see the Angels' offensive production decreased, as Ohtani is an important part of the line-up .

In a total of 34 games, Ohtani is batting for a .289 average with 6 homers and 20 RBIs. As a pitcher, he has 9 starts with a 3.10 ERA winning four games and losing only one of them.
