The much-anticipated return of "The Freak", Tim Lincecum, to the Major Leagues it seems to get closer and closer, as the former Giant is successfully recovering from a lingering blister that he suffered during Spring Training, and the Texas Rangers are giving Lincecum his first rehab assignment on Monday.


The 3-times World Series Champion hasn't pitched at a professional level since the 2016 season when he played for the Los Angeles Angeles, and now he will have the opportunity to deliver for the first time since then with the Rangers' Triple-A side on Monday.


According to various sources, "the Freak" successfully threw a 26-pitch bullpen session on Saturday, but Lincecum is still ineligible to feature with the Rangers until May 28, due to the team placed him on the 60-day disabled list.
