Much has been said about the possible arrival of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. to the Major Leagues with the Toronto Blue Jays, but this just remains as a possibility so far. Until today.
But now Vladimir Guerrero could have his great opportunity because of Josh Donaldson's situation.
Toronto's starting third baseman left Monday's game with a problem in his left calf and the team is going to make a decision over how much time the former MVP will be sidelined.
A shoulder problem has already put Donaldson on the disabled list this season. Although, according to Gregor Chisolm of MLB.com, the problem does not seem to be a serious one.
But if he somehow ends up on the disabled list, the pressure on Toronto to call Guerrero up would grow exponentially.
Guerrero Jr. has been absolutely destroying the minor leagues, as in 46 matches in Class AA, the player hits .433 with 10 homers and 50 RBIs.
