In recent years Jacob deGrom has shown what is really done when he climbs the mound, and of course, the Cy Young prize he already has in his showcase endorses it.

But, that does not mean that the right of the New York Mets will be shaped by showing their talent only on the hill, since it has already shown that they can also hit as they did on Friday.

With the home run against the Atlanta Braves, deGrom became the first pitcher in MLB history to strike out 13 batters and connect home runs twice in the same season, according to MLB Stats.

For his part Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports, mentions that the right of 31 years of age is the first pitcher since 1900 to achieve these statistics.
