Kenley Jansen responded to Los Angeles Dodgers fans who booed him very ugly and replied:
I'll make you cheer up after the game. "
Wow. Kenley Jansen is getting booed off the field.— Matthew Moreno (@MMoreno1015) August 22, 2019
Veteran closer Jansen suffered his last stumble just last Wednesday night, allowing a home run that tied the game to left-hander Rowdy Tellez and letting his sixth save of the season go. In that game, it didn't cost the Los Angeles Dodgers, as left-hander Max Muncy gave a winning homer in the bottom of the tenth inning.
Jansen's chance to save was the first from Jansen on Friday, August 9 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, when he accepted a two-run homer by Carsson Kelly who also tied the game. The Diamondbacks beat the Dodgers in extra innings.
The 31-year-old curator Jansen was booed with everything when he completed the ninth inning on Wednesday and was booed by the Dodger Stadium crowd as he walked out of the field. It was the type of treatment previously faced by Dominican reliever Pedro Baez that he received from Dodgers fans, which prompted and led Jansen to defend himself.
Jansen, born in 1987 and .195 meters tall, has figures this season 2019 of 3-3 and 3.70 of effectiveness in 48 relays with 26 saves.
