The outlook for Mookie Betts when the season stop was announced looked pretty bleak in free agency, as it seemed for a long time that there would be no season this year. At the end of the day, both Dodgers and Betts saw the best of their interests and now we will have Mookie for a while in Los Angeles.

And not only that, the amount of money for which he renewed is immense, since it is reported that the extension has a total value of 365 million dollars, so including this season where his contract is 27 million, they add up to a grand total of $ 392 million.

The contract total is the second most lucrative in all of major league history, just under Mike Trout's, which totals $ 426.5 million. However, the extension Betts signed on its own is the highest in the entire MLB, as its 365 million is higher than the one Angelinos awarded to Trout last year, which was 360 million.

Betts was originally set to become a free agent at the end of the season, however, as we all saw, he has just become a billionaire and secured his future.
