Los Gigantes de San Francisco has a plan planned for Pablo Sandoval who will undergo Tommy John surgery to end his 2019 campaign.
According to the latest reports by Alex Pavlovic of the NBC Sport, the Giants will activate from the list of injured the "Panda" which marks the plan that has the management of the team with Sandoval for a last game at home.
Giants activated Pablo Sandoval. He’s not flying to St. Louis this week and will have Tommy John on Wednesday, so this sets him up for one last at-bat in front of home fans today.— Alex Pavlovic (@PavlovicNBCS) September 1, 2019
Sandoval is scheduled to undergo surgery next Wednesday so he will not be traveling for the series in San Luis, however, the NBC expert mentions that Sandoval will have his last turn at the bat of the season.
2019 meant the return of the best version of that Panda we met in the last World Series of the Giants, a timely bat, good defense and the best thing is that he became a versatile player for the Giants team.
Despite being submitted to Tommy John does not pay tribute year to the great year that the Venezuelan infidel had, then, he will arrive at free agency with his 33 years of age and a Tommy John who does not generate confidence anywhere.
Sandoval has so far played a total of 107 games with the Giants, recording a batting average of .269 with 14 homers and 41 RBIs.
