Boston's relief pitcher Carson Smith is known for being an injury prone. With this being said, it's still very unlikely, and kind of weird that Smith injured himself in the dumbest possible way, making him look like he's made of glass.

Past Monday, Smith may have suffered a serious arm injury after throwing his glove to the ground in the dugout, and chances are that his season would be over or at least, he will be sidelined for a long period of time.
Smith was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a right shoulder subluxation Tuesday and he will look for a second opinion before undergoing an MRI scanning to determine the true gravity of the injury.
The pitcher underwent a Tommy John Surgery in 2016 and since he joined the Red Sox in 2015, he has only pitched 23 2/3 innings.
