Craig Kimbrel started dodging punches since he started out of the Boston Red Sox bullpen for Game 4 against the New York Yankees when a can of beer was directed against him from the stands. But despite this, Kimbrel (narrowly) secured the Red Sox's pass to the American League Championship Series.
Despite being surrounded by police from the Yankees bleachers, the beer can fell, which was seen at an important speed and could have caused damage to the closer in case of hitting him.
Kimbrel entered the field and despite some doubts managed to finish his second save of the postseason despite accepting two runs. With this victory, the Red Sox secured their pass to the American League Championship Series against the Houston Astros to start on Saturday.
