The Boston Red Sox didn't wanted to get left behind of all that is happening in this exciting Opening Day.

Eduardo Nuñez took care of that and scored an amazing inside the park home run against the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field.

With the game 1-0 with Boston on the lead and Xander Bogaerts on base, Nuñez faced Chris Archer and he sent the ball on the border between the left field and the center field, which neither Denard Span and Kevin Kiermaier were not able to reach.

When Nuñez realized that the ball was on nobody's land, he speeded up and reached home safely. This is the first inside-the-park home run for the Red Sox on Opening Day since the 1968 season when Carl Yastrzemski did it.

The Red Sox are one of the main contenders to reach the World Series, as they have one of the best pitching staffs in the whole Majors and one of the most comlete line-ups in the game.
