It has been a quite difficult start of the season for both the Yankees and the team's superstar, Giancarlo Stanton, as they were beginning to fall short from all the expectation that was built around the New York team.
But now it seems that the Bronx Bombarders are starting to heat up and they are surely a team to be feared with all the power that they have on their line up, and mainly Giancarlo Stanton knows that they will not be a piece of cake anymore, as the MVP spoke with Christian Red of the New York Daily News after destroying the Twins 14-1 on Monday:
This game is tough, man. We put a lot of good at-bats together. We were able to do a lot of damage. You build off anything positive. We're gonna hurt you one through nine. Once we're all clicking, it's gonna be a fun sight.
Stanton smashed his 5th home run of the season against the Twins, and he's starting to show signs of recovery after he started the season on a high with his two dingers on Opening Day, but after that, he found himself in a hole, even notching the not-so-fancy Platinum Sombrero, when he struck out 5 times on a single game.
On this date last year, Giancarlo Stanton was hitting .226 with three home runs and a .715 OPS. He wound up winning NL MVP.— Alex Putterman (@AlexPutterman) 18 de abril de 2018
In other words... Yankees fans, take a deep breath.
