Baseball is in mourning at the beginning of the month, as the Angels of Los Angeles have announced that one of its starting pitchers, Tyler Skaggs has died this Monday.
According to information from TMZ Sports, the pitcher was found dead in Texas, hours before the Angels' game against the Rangers in Arlington. Due to this unfortunate event, the game between the two teams was canceled, according to the Rangers, through a press release.
So far the cause of the death of the player is not known.
Skaggs was 27 years old and pitched his last game on June 29 against the Oakland Athletics, where he came out with the loss and pitched 4.1 innings. He had a 7-7 record and a 4.29 ERA, throwing 79.2 innings.
