Marlins will honor Parkland shooting victims

Just a week after the tragical mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, the wounds are still fresh, as some of MLB players like Anthony Rizzo and Lewis Brinson were close to the community that was affected by this event.

Now, the Florida Marlins are expecting to pay tribute to the victims and all of those affected by the shooting, as the team ordered dozens of the school's baseball caps.

According to Tim Healy of the Sun Sentinel, the players, coaching staff and field staff will be wearing these caps prior the first game of the pre-season against the St. Louis Cardinals this Friday.

The team will not be wearing them during the game due to MLB rules, but they are planning to donate the Stoneman Douglas Eagles' gear during the pre-game warm-ups and in their morning work-outs.

The Marjory Stoneman High School shooting took the lives of 17 people last Wednesday, as it is the worst mass shooting in a school since Sandy Hook in 2012.
