Rob Manfred's statement on the death of Tyler Skaggs

The MLB commissioner spoke of the sad demise of the Angels pitcher

The death of Tyler Skaggs has left the baseball world in shock and while the first action by MLB was to cancel Monday's game between Angels and Rangers, Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred made his own statement.

Here's what Manfred said:

"I am deeply saddened by today's tragedy in Texas, all of us at Major League Baseball express our deepest condolences to Tyler's wife, Carli, his family, his friends and all his teammates and colleagues of the Angels. We will support the Angels' organization during this most difficult period, and we will make available a variety of resources for Tyler's teammates and other members of the baseball family. "

It is expected that the team of Angels have at least one to two more days to mourn after the death of his partner.
