Yankees: Giancarlo Stanton goes back on the injury list

Injuries have not let Stanton play this 2019

Giancarlo Stanton has returned to the disabled list and will miss the Yankees' London Series against the Red Sox this weekend.

Stanton, who left the New York game against the Blue Jays on Tuesday, has a strained ligament in his right knee. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Stanton will be evaluated again in 10 days.

After playing in just six games after spending more than two months disabled, he has been replaced on the roster by Mike Tauchman. In addition, the Venezuelan Thairo Estrada will be the 26th player of the Yankees on the roster for the special series in England.

Stanton hurt himself on Tuesday when he slipped into third base.
