Yoenis Cespedes has never been one to shy away from his athleticism. Sure enough, he put on an odd but entertaining show at Citi Field prior to the Mets' game against the Yankees.
Much to the surprise of some fans, a familiar face was taking grounders at third base -- Cespedes. He didn't look half-bad, either:

Pretty nice barehand pickup and throw to first, too!

However, don't take the combination of these GIFs and the Mets' recent injuries at third base too seriously, even though catcher Travis d'Arnaud started at the hot corner on Wednesday (bouncing between third and second).
This exercise wasn't an actual practice. Yo being Yo, he just does this from time to time.
It seems less funny now that Yoenis Cespedes was out taking grounders at third base this afternoon. (He does it from time to time for fun.)

He's not going to become the next Brooks Robinson.

Maybe that's for the best.
